Etqan Global Academy (EGA)
Etqan Global Academy (EGA) launched its first year of operation in 2019 in Doha, Qatar, offering the International Baccalaureate® (IB) program with an emphasis on the Arabic Department programs for kindergarten and elementary students and will gradually grow until high school.
EGA education philosophy emphasizes inquiry, stimulates curiosity, and fosters comprehension and creativity.
EGA is operated by Vancouver Offshore School Groups (VOSG).

What is IB Program?
IB offers four programs:
1) Primary Years Program: (ages 3-12)
Primary Years Programme*
The PYP for children aged 3 - 12 nurtures and develops young students as caring, active participants in a lifelong journey of learning through a student-centered approach to education.
2) Middle Years Program: (ages 12-16)
A challenging framework that encourages students to make practical connections between their studies and the real world, the MYP is inclusive by design; students of all interests and academic abilities can benefit from their participation.
3) Diploma Program: (ages 16-19)
Research suggests many benefits to choosing the DP. The programme aims to develop students who have excellent breadth and depth of knowledge – students who flourish physically, intellectually, emotionally and ethically.
4) Career related Program (ages 16-19)
The CP ( for students age group from 16 to 19 year old) is a framework of international education that incorporates the values of the IB into a unique programme addressing the needs of students engaged in career-related education. The programme leads to further/higher education, apprenticeships or employment.

Characteristics of Etqan Global Academy
1) Separate buildings for boys and girls built on a 60 thousand square meters land plot.
2) Maintains students’ identity and values by focusing on the Arabic Department programs.
3) Provides individual support for students as necessary during the school day to eliminate the need for private tutoring.
4) Employs highly qualified, well trained, certified educators.
5) Students at the primary school explore occupational programs that enable them to identify their future career at an early age.

Language of Instructions
The IB curriculum is taught in English. The Arabic Department curriculum is taught in Arabic.
